The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it ! Salvation does not just n=mean going to heaven one day but it means Gods way to complete wholeness and well being. Salvation means much more then pie in the sky one day.. No salvation is something we experience everyday … Salvation means deliverance, healing, wholeness and well being.
Romans 1:17 Amp
Now the Bible says that In this gospel that the true righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith not faith to works but faith to faith .. Most of the church today does not preach the pure gospel. It is tainted and made to be another gospel which is not the gospel of Christ.. The gospel we are to preach is the same one that was revealed to the apostle Paul.. The true gospel will reveal the righteousness of God from faith to faith …righteousness means right standing, justified or just as if you had never sinned.. We preach law and we preach sin and we preach a doing more to be right with God but we rarely preach the righteousness of God which is a Gift from God from beginning to end. A righteousness that is to be received and not to be achieved by our own works.
Paul was accused of preaching greasy grace… saying we can sin so grace could abound.. but that’s not what he was saying . He was saying as sin abounds in this world grace will super abound.. In other words there will always be much more grace available then sin.. We often hear people say oh! sin is increasing so much how will our young people eve come to know God? This is where grace comes in for where sin increases grace super increases.. There will always be much more grace then there is sin. In fact I believe that there is coming a tsunami of grace that will soon be hard to run from and will overcome many in these last days.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
The Bible says that it is through one man’s disobedience that many were made sinners and it was through the obedience of one that many will be made righteous. When the first Adam sinned his sin affected the entire human race, it is because of Adams disobedience that everyone born into this world are born sinners. There is nothing that we had to do to become a sinner because we were born that way. Now just as it was through one man’s disobedience that many were made sinners so it was through the obedience of one man that many will be made righteous. Now notice It does not say through the obedience of many that many will be made righteous but through the obedience of one that many will be made righteous and who is that one? That one that made us righteous is Jesus Christ. We must understand that It is not our obedience that we were made righteous but it is by the obedience of the one that you were made righteous and you are not the one who makes you righteous before God but Christ is the one who made you completely righteous before God! It was because of His obedience that we are made righteous not ours! Never allow religion to tell you that it’s through your own obedience that your made righteous or even maintain your righteousness before God that is an affront to the cross and will only produce condemnation and Phariseesism in your life. So let’s see what the scripture says about how we were made righteous.
Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
How did the Apostle Paul receive grace and apostleship? He received it by being obedient to the faith! Faith in what? Faith in what Christ accomplished at the cross was enough to make him completely righteous before God period plus nothing else!
For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Today we are forgiven and made righteous because Christ who knew no sin became sin. There was a great exchange that took place at the cross. Jesus took all of our sin and our sin nature and in exchange He gave us a brand new righteous nature. We did not just receive righteousness we are made to be righteous in Christ, Just as we were made to be sinners because of the disobedience of the first Adam we were made to be righteous because of the obedience of the last Adam who is Jesus and God has called us to believe the truth of this great exchange and to continue to believe and to never be moved away from this truth.
It is a lie to say that we are initially made righteous when we first get saved but after we are saved must somehow maintain our righteousness by what we do. We are made righteous through Christ’s obedience to the cross period plus nothing else.. I’m sorry to tell you that your flesh will never be able to take credit for your right standing before God.. The Bible says that no flesh will ever glory in His presence. It’s not Christ plus what you do that makes you righteous before God it is Christ pus nothing else .Righteousness is a gift given to us because of the obedience of the One Christ Jesus..
But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Now you have a choice you can either receive righteousness as a gift by faith or you can continue to earn and maintain it by your good works but I would choose the former rather then the latter.
Romans 10:2-4 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
The only true righteousness that is acceptable to God under the new covenant is a gift to be received and never a thing to be achieved. Many in church today began receiving the true righteousness of God by faith , but now run around trying to zealously earn or maintain their right standing before God through works but all those who do this have actually fallen from grace and are no longer being obedient to the faith.
Faith is not about achieving but receiving.
So what’s our part in all this? Our part is to believe that because of Christ’s obedience to the cross we are made righteous and it’s as we bring our every thought in to the obedience of Christ that we will then be transformed into His likeness by the Spirit of God
2 Corinthians 10:4- 5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 😉
Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
As we bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ our obedience will be fulfilled… notice it does not say that we are to bring our every thought captive to our own obedience but to Christ’s obedience. The enemy always wants us to be more self occupied then Christ occupied. Remember what happen to Adam and Eve? Their focus shifted from simply enjoying God and being God occupied to becoming self occupied. Do not focus on your own obedience as religion often teaches you. Many in religion are not occupied with Christ and His obedience but with their own. They are always asking themselves am I being obedient to God today? Am I doing enough to please Him? Am I working enough for Him? Am I giving enough to please Him? This kind of self occupation only breeds condemnation and despair because you sooner or later will always come up short when it comes to being righteous through your own obedience. The enemy will always come along and tell you what a failure you are because you didn’t do this or that. His business is to stir up condemnation in your soul to shut you down. It is only through the cross that we will finally stop trying to earn what God has already freely given to us in Christ
So are we occupied with our own obedience or with Christ’s obedience? We are not righteous today because of our own obedience but because of Christ’s obedience and because we have believed that Christ obedience was sufficient to make me righteous before God.
