Obedience to the Faith

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it ! Salvation does not just n=mean going to heaven one day but it means Gods way to complete wholeness and well being. Salvation means much more then pie in the sky one day.. No salvation is something we experience everyday … Salvation means deliverance, healing, wholeness and well being.

Romans 1:17  Amp

For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.

Now the Bible says that In this gospel that the true  righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith  not faith to works  but faith to faith .. Most of the church today does not preach the pure gospel. It is tainted and made to be another gospel which is not the gospel of Christ.. The gospel we are to preach is the same one that was revealed to the apostle Paul.. The true gospel will reveal the righteousness of God from faith to faith …righteousness means right standing, justified or just as if you had never sinned.. We preach law and we preach sin  and we preach a doing more to be right with God but we rarely preach the righteousness of God which is a Gift from God from beginning to end. A righteousness that is to be received and not to be achieved by our own works.

Paul was accused of preaching greasy grace… saying we can sin so grace could abound.. but that’s not what he was saying . He was saying as sin abounds in this world grace will super abound..  In other words there will always be much more grace available then sin.. We often hear people say oh!  sin is increasing so much how will our young people eve come to know God? This is where grace comes in for where sin increases grace super increases.. There will always be much more grace then there is sin.  In fact I believe that there is coming a tsunami of grace that will soon be hard to run from and will overcome many in these last days.

Romans 5:19

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The Bible says that it is through one man’s disobedience that many were made sinners and it was through the obedience of one that many will be made righteous. When the first Adam sinned his sin affected the entire human race, it is because of Adams disobedience that everyone born into this world are born sinners. There is nothing that we had to do to become a sinner because we were born that way. Now just as it was through one man’s disobedience that many were made sinners so it was through the obedience of one man that many will be made righteous. Now notice It does not say through the obedience of many that many will be made righteous but through the obedience of one that many will be made righteous and who is that one? That one that made us righteous is Jesus Christ. We must understand that It is not our obedience that we were made righteous but it is by the obedience of the one that you were made righteous and you are not the one who makes you righteous before God but Christ is the one who made you completely righteous before God! It was because of His obedience that we are made righteous not ours! Never allow religion to tell you that it’s through your own obedience that your made righteous or even maintain your righteousness before God that is an affront to the cross and will only produce condemnation and  Phariseesism in  your life.  So let’s see what the scripture says about how we were made righteous.

Romans 1:5   By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

How did the Apostle Paul receive grace and apostleship? He received it by being obedient to the faith! Faith in what? Faith in what Christ accomplished at the cross was enough to make him completely righteous before God period plus nothing else!

2 Corinthians 5:21

For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Today we are forgiven and made righteous because Christ who knew no sin became sin. There was a great exchange that took place at the cross. Jesus took all of our sin and our sin nature and in exchange He gave us a brand new righteous nature. We did not just receive righteousness we are made to be righteous in Christ, Just as we were made to be sinners because of the disobedience of the first Adam we were made to be righteous because of the obedience of the last Adam who is Jesus and God has called us to believe the truth of this great exchange and to continue to believe and to never be moved away from this truth.

It is a lie to say that we are initially made righteous when we first get saved but after we are saved must somehow maintain our righteousness by what we do. We are made righteous through Christ’s obedience to the cross period plus nothing else.. I’m sorry to tell you that your flesh will never be able to take credit for your right standing before God.. The Bible says that no flesh will ever glory in His presence. It’s not Christ plus what you do that makes you righteous before God it is Christ pus nothing else .Righteousness is a gift given to us because of the obedience of the One Christ Jesus..

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Now you have a choice you can either receive righteousness as a gift by faith or you can continue to earn and maintain it by your good works but I would choose the former rather then the latter.

Romans 10:2-4                                                                                                                                                                                                                    For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

The only true righteousness that is acceptable to God under the new covenant is a gift to be received and never a thing to be achieved. Many in church today began receiving the true righteousness of God by faith , but now run around trying to zealously earn or maintain their right standing before God through works but all those who do this have actually fallen from grace and are no longer being obedient to the faith.

Faith is not about achieving but receiving.

So what’s our part in all this? Our part is to believe that because of Christ’s obedience to the cross we are made righteous and it’s as we bring our every thought in to the obedience of Christ that we will then be transformed into His likeness by the Spirit of God

2 Corinthians 10:4- 5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 😉

 Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

As we bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ our obedience will be fulfilled… notice it does not say that we are to bring our every thought captive to our own obedience but to Christ’s obedience. The enemy always wants us to be more self occupied then Christ occupied. Remember what happen to Adam and Eve? Their focus shifted from simply enjoying God and being God occupied to becoming self occupied. Do not focus on your own obedience as religion often teaches you. Many in religion are not occupied with Christ and His obedience but with their own. They are always asking themselves am I being obedient to God today?  Am I doing enough to please Him? Am I working enough for Him? Am I giving enough to please Him? This kind of self occupation only breeds condemnation and despair because you sooner or later will always come up short when it comes to being righteous through your own obedience. The enemy will always come along and tell you what a failure you are because you didn’t do this or that. His business is to stir up condemnation in your soul to shut you down. It is only through the cross that we will finally stop trying to earn what God has already freely given to us in Christ

So are we occupied with our own obedience or with Christ’s obedience? We are not righteous today because of our own obedience but because of Christ’s obedience and because we have believed that Christ obedience was  sufficient to make me righteous before God.

The Winds of Change

A caterpillar does not change himself into a butterfly by working and striving but the caterpillar instead simply rests in the cocoon that surrounds him until the metamorphous takes place..

When we were born again God put inside of us a new Spirit and we are now changed from the inside out through the law of the Spirit of life that is in us.

Religion will often tell you to change yourself. It will tell you that you must strive and determine to be a better Christian, just try harder, make new resolutions to stop doing this and start doing that.. Religion will often point you to put your confidence in yourself and your fleshly determination to produce change but this is not how the real change of God comes. Change does not come through our sheer will power or making new resolutions every day, every week or every year. The God kind of change only comes one way and that’s from the inside out as we surround ourselves with the promises of God and put our full trust in him.

If we want to see real change then we must first make up our minds  that we cannot change ourselves. The  fact is that it is impossible for man to change himself into what God desires only God can transform us into the real image that He has created us to be..  and Gods transformation will come from the inside out as we embrace His ways for change not ours. Real change does not come through the carnal fleshly efforts of man but comes though and by the Spirit of life.

Effortless change will come through the four winds of God. We don’t need to focus on our own self effort for change us in fact self effort will only frustrate the real change that God wants to make in our lives.. We need to understand that God does not want us to change in a carnal way like the world changes. Those in the world will often be successful at changing certain habits or by making certain behavior modifications but God is not just looking for behavior modifications! He is looking for the manifestation of the sons of God . He is looking for Christ to be formed in us and this does not come through the sheer self determination of the flesh but by faith in the promises of God and through the life of the Spirit who now lives in us.

Now when you see the leaves on a tree moving it’s usually because there is a wind blowing on the leaves that is making them move. Today there are certain winds of God blowing on us. These winds are winds of revelation from God that are in turn causing us to move and to be transformed into His likeness

Let’s look at four winds of change

The Wind of the Love that God has for you will move you and change you from the inside out. When you realize the incredible Love that God has for you and His commitment and faithfulness toward you it will change your heart and life forever. I believe today we are beginning to feel this wind once again blow into our lives..

Romans 5:8

But God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The Winds of God’s Grace will change us.  God’s grace is Gods unmerited favor and the Holy Spirit who now lives in us. In Zachariah 4:6 it says that it is not by my might or by my power but by my Spirit that every mountain in our lives will be removed says the Lord. It does not matter what kind of mountain that we are looking at Gods Spirit can remove it as we simply place our trust in Him. As we are being moved for law and legalism and back into Gods grace we will see the true transformation that only Gods grace can bring.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

The Winds of the promises of God are blowing and as we see and embrace Gods promises through the word that we will then become partakers of His divine nature.  God’s promises speak of the New Covenant that he has made with us through Christ. We must stop making promises to God that we can’t keep anyway and instead embrace Gods promises to us. It is only as we believe and embrace the promises of God to us that we will escape this present evil world that is bound because of lust.                 2 Peter 2:14 says it’s only by Gods promises that we escape the world bound by lust.

2 Peter 1:4

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And last the Wind of your present Identity in Christ is blowing. As we realize who we are now in Christ it will us from the inside out. As a man believes in his heart so is he. The bible says as we behold in a mirror the Glory of the Lord we will then be transformed into His likeness …. Not by human fleshly effort but by the Spirit of the Lord, For it is God that is at work in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.

We need to just stop trying to change and instead  allow the four winds of God blow on us that will bring about real eternal change

How do you spell Relief?

From Law to Grace that was a Relief because I didn’t have to save myself any longer.
From the idea that God was stingy, to seeing His generosity. Boy was that a relief.
When I grasped that even sanctification wasn’t a work of mine, I was immensely relieved.
When I understood that God isn’t angry I became very, very relieved.
When I discovered the mystery, Christ in me; I was relieved beyond measure.
When I have had glimpses of my inheritance as a son, I have been joyfully relieved.
Each new discovery about the height and the width and the Depth of God’s love for me has been reassuringly relieving.
Finding out that my old self was dead was a dreadful relief, but being raised up as a new creation in Christ was a supernatural relief.
Discovering my new identity was a wonderful relief.
When I was convinced that my salvation was eternally secured, I became relaxingly relieved.
My experience has been that repentance equals experiencing relief. Instances when I have repented in the religious sense of the word (i.e. remorse, regret, and etc.) have almost, without exception, been a disaster because it has led to rededication; new promises and more works to satisfy a Person who already is gratified. In retrospect, I can see that those instances did not change me a tad.
He has transformed me, and each transformation has been a consequence of love followed by a sigh of relief on my part.

Divinity and Humanity as One

Divinity and Humanity have come together as one. As born again Christians who are now in Christ we are not only human but we are also divine because we have been permanently joined to the divine One.

1 Corinthians 6:17

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

As a born again Christian Christ now lives in you and is united with your Spirit so as He is so are we in this life but one of the biggest reasons we have a hard time believing this is because  we have this treasure in an earthen vessel.

We still have an earthen body that is aging  and at times creeks and feels pain and a soul that needs to be renewed according to the truth of the gospel  but in spite of our earthen vessel challenges this does not change the truth that we have been joined with the Lord in our eternal  Spirit.

As we look past our earthen vessel weakness and behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror we will then be changed from the inside out by the spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18   And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit

God wants us to continually  see ourselves from His point of view according to His word in the new covenant which is truth and not to see ourselves from a mere human carnal external point of view.  The song I’m only Human I’m just a man is not true for the born again Christian. You’re not just human but you are now also divine according to the word, You are Gods building, Gods temple, He has in fact joined himself with you. Your born again self is more than just human it is also divine. You are not just a sinner saved by grace. You were a sinner but you were saved by grace and made into a new creation old things were done away and all things are now of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!

God wants us to know and to believe who we are now in Christ and what He has made us to be and faith agrees with what God says I am in spite of how I feel or at times how I behave! What do you see when you look in the mirror?  Do you only see limited human flesh full of flaws or do you see Gods glory and the new creation? What do we see when we look at each other? Do we only see humanity or Gods glory? Do we see others flesh or the body of Christ?  God wants us to see past the earthen vessel and see the treasure inside. We use to sing a song that says. I love you with the love of the lord, o I love you with the love of the Lord and I can see in you the glory of my king and I Love you with the Love of the Lord. We need to see things from Gods point of view not just ours. God wants us to see His glory in us and in His church

We are Spirit, Soul and Body… When we were born again we were completely recreated in our Spirit and God moved into the inside of us. In our Spirit we are perfect not just forgiven but perfect! We have already been blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ and Christ is in me. As He is so am I in this life.

I’m not just a sinner saved by grace I am a new creation, I am Holy, I am Sanctified,  I am justified, I am perfect in my Spirit. We don’t need more of Jesus we have all the Jesus we are ever going to have right now in our Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:11                                                                                                                                                                                                     And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Now our minds and souls are in the process of lining up with the reality of what has already taken place in our Spirit that is what it means to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. As our thoughts line up with the truth of what has already taken place in our Spirit then will be changed from the inside out

Again as we believe what God has already done in us through the gospel then what’s on the inside will begin to manifest itself on the outside. The outside is the seen temporal realm and the inside Spirit is the unseen eternal realm.

So today I’m not trying to be righteous I am righteous. Why am I righteous? Because God made me righteous and if God says I am righteous then I am righteous, if God said it I believe it and that settles it! As we believe we are righteous because of what God has said then the fruit of righteousness will begin to manifest itself in the outward or seen realm or from the inside out! But we must  first believe the truth of what has already happen on the inside  before we can see the manifestation outwardly.

It always begins with faith. That’s why the saying right believing will produce right living is true. Religion has got it all backwards. They try to change people through external laws and regulations and disciplines and this will never change a person. Rules only temporarily restrain people and it becomes more like a sin management program then true transformation.

So the question is are we going to live our lives by what we feel and see by what is logical and makes sense or are we going to live our lives by faith in what God says is true?  The carnal Christian walks by site not by faith, but the spiritual Christian will walk by faith and not by site. The carnal religious Christian makes judgments by what it sees and what makes sense.

John 8:15-16   You [set yourselves up to] judge according to the flesh (by what you see). [You condemn by external, human standards. I do not [set myself up to] judge or condemn or sentence anyone.

16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true [My decision is right]; for I am not alone [in making it], but [there are two of us] I and the Father, Who sent me

Jesus did not make judgments by what He saw in the seen natural realm but what He saw and heard in the spiritual realm and we are called to do the same. In fact the unseen should become more of our reality then the seen realm.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.

We must move away from Christian humanism to eternal everlasting spiritual way of living. Our high priest today is not a carnal priest according to external laws and regulations but He is our eternal priest after the power of an endless life.

Hebrews 7:15-16

15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there arises another priest,

16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Today we are under a new covenant and a new priesthood and a new way of living. This new way of living is about embracing the everlasting life of Christ who lives in us.

Moses and Abraham had two things in common. They both were moved by faith in the unseen.

Hebrews 11

27 By faith Moses forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Faith makes no sense! Faith sees what others do not see and will hear what others do not often hear but as men and women moved in faith they experienced the power of God.

It takes faith to believe that Christ lives in us. We have to look beyond what we often feel and see and just believe that if God said it then it is true for me. I don’t always feel righteous but that does not change the truth of God’s word that I am. As we believe we will see Gods power manifest in and through our lives. It may not happen immediately but it will happen. We must remember that it’s not just through faith that we see the promise of God but its by faith and patience.

Are you on a Guilt Trip or Joy Trip ?

The Kingdom of God is not Righteousness Guilt and Peace but Righteousness, Joy and Peace.. God Does not want us on a Guilt Trip but a Joy Trip.. What are we more motivated by? Guilt or Joy? Do we do things because we feel guilty if we don’t? or do we do things because of Joy? For example why do we read our Bible? Because we have to? Or because we get to? why do we give? Because we feel we have to or we get to? God’s way is to so fill us with His Kingdom that His Love, Joy and Peace becomes the main motivation for all we do.

One is a work of the flesh and one is the fruit of the  Spirit.. Notice it does not say fruit of the flesh but work of the flesh.

Joy and Peace is a fruit of the Spirit because we have believed in righteousness that comes as a gift through faith.

Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law. Why was it a curse? Because we could not keep it! No matter how hard we tried.

But doesn’t the Bible say that Jesus did not come to do away with the law but fulfill the law? Yes and He did fulfill it and it is fulfilled now in all those who believe into Him.

When Jesus said it is finished! He fulfilled the law! As we walk in the Spirit then the law is fulfilled because He leads us and guides us into all truth.

Now we need to understand that Christ paid the full price for sin and to makes us righteous, forgiveness and righteousness is a gift from God that cannot be earned only received through faith.

Illustration: If you were sent a notice in the mail that your house was paid for in full would you then continue to send in the payment for the house? Then why are we still trying to pay for something that has already been paid in full? Christ has cancelled the debt that was against us through the cross.

We need to understand that sins debt has already been paid for once and for all and righteousness is a free gift. As we receive abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness we will reign in life through Jesus and we will be filled with the kingdom of God and the fruit of the Spirit.

Love, Joy and Peace then become our main motivation for all we do and not guilt and condemnation.

The Law was called the ministry of condemnation and death 2 Corinthians 3:6-9 but Grace is the ministry of life. What do you want to motivated by? Condemnation or Life? Life is far better.

The devil will often discredit the messenger in order to keep people from the truth that will set them free.. The Apostle Paul was an example of these attacks by those stuck in the law. He said have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Galatians 4:16 Then he goes on to talk about law and grace. Those stuck in the law will always persecute those in faith and grace.
Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now

The Greater Glory

The Bible says that we are no longer under the law but grace. This is vital for us to understand and believe if we are going to see Gods greater Glory

Now we need to understand that grace is not just another teaching or doctrine but grace is a person. The law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus… When Jesus came into this world, Gods grace came into this world because Jesus Himself is the Grace of God. Jesus is Gods extended grace towards us and whenever we receive Jesus we receive the grace of God because they are one and the same. We are saved by grace through faith. Who saves us? Jesus saves us as we believe in Him.. Jesus is the Grace of God. People who say we can’t preach too much grace simply do not understand Gods grace and who grace is. Again grace is not just another subject or doctrine we teach in our Sunday school curriculum grace is a person. And God’s grace came to heal us, deliver us, change us, transform us, and empower us and to live in us to teach us how to live.

We are no longer under the law which includes the ones written engraved in stones or the Big 10. The law had its glory days and will still produce a certain glory today but it does not compare with the glory that God wants to reveal now through the new covenant.

2 Corinthians 3:3-end

3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels.

11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious.

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord

Many still preach law today and see glory, Charles Finney preached the law and saw glory and the law will bring glory but the glory that comes through the law is a glory that eventually fades away… but God wants us to see even a greater glory that comes through the law God wants us to experience a glory that will not fade away but a glory that will continue to increase from glory to glory or an ever increasing glory!. A glory that does not fade away but will increase and increase! A glory that increases so much that it is actually seen on you as prophesied in Isaiah 60:1 and the only thing that will produce this kind of increasing glory is not the law but faith righteousness and Gods grace.

The law was nailed to the cross and done away in Christ. The only place that the law should ever be posted for those who believe in Christ is to the cross.

Paul was angry that the law was being re introduced to the church because he knew what the law would to grace it would frustrate it. The law and grace do not mix

Those born to the bong women will always mock those under the free women

Cain will always persecute able.

Ishmael persecuted Isaac

Ishmaels mother was law but Isaacs mother was grace.. same father but different covenants . Todats we have those with the same father,But different mothers.

Abraham lived before the law.. But He still walked by faith. He responded to the one who spoke to him.

We are under a new law now and a new covenant.. Law of the spirit of life in Christ.

Law is Mt Sinai but Grace is Mt Zion

What man calls balance God calls mixture.

If we don’t preach radical grace then lives will not be radically transformed.

Grace is a person not a subject.. People who say we shouldn’t preach to much grace are ignorant of the fact that Gods grace is the Spirit of Christ.. so that’s like saying don’t preach to much about Jesus its dangerous to preach Jesus too much

Grace is unmerited, unearned favor which means everyone qualifies to receive Gods Grace. Not one sin disqualifies you from Gods grace. The only thing that will keep you from Gods grace and favor is unbelief It does not matter who you are or what you have done you qualify for God’s grace and can be saved  and blessed by God if you will just say yes to God I receive your grace.

I am here to convince you this gift of grace is for you and all you have to do is reach out and receive it.

God is a servant

Did you know that God is not the mean demanding tyrant that religion has often portrayed Him as? But He is actually a servant? Jesus came representing the Fathers true nature and heart. Jesus said when you have seen me you have seen the father and He said that He did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. Jesus was a servant during His entire earthly ministry. Also remember one of Jesus last acts before He went to the cross was to wash his disciple’s feet!  And after He rose from the dead He then made breakfast for them!  Psalm 23 also depicts God as a servant where it says He makes us to lie down in green pastures to restore our souls and spreads a table before us in the presence of our enemies. God loves to serve and to give! Let’s get it right!  God is not a mean critical, demanding tyrant but, He is a lover and a giver. Did you know the thing that blesses Gods heart the most is when we freely receive from Him all that He has provided for us through Christ? God loves to bless us and It blesses Gods heart the most when we freely receive from Him! .The Bible says that it is Gods great pleasure to give us the kingdom! He is looking for people who will reach out and receive His Love and Goodness and when He returns He will make us sit down at His table and once again serve us..  This really is an amazing truth that will set you free, if you believe it!

Luke 12:37

Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.

Being Filled with Gods Fullness

John the apostle said over and over in his own writings I am the disciple that Jesus loves, was John saying that he was the only one that Jesus loved? No! He was saying that he knew beyond any doubt that God loved him personally, John saw himself as the center and object of Gods great love and affection and as we like John see Gods great love and affection for us and we continually receive His love  the Bible says we will then be filled with all the fullness of God. How are we filled with the fullness of God? By knowing, believing and receiving the great Love that God has for us . Once again In case you missed the first two times, the major key to be filled and walking in God’s blessings is to know and receive the Love that God has for you. Get this and you’re well on your way to a new higher way of life in Christ. A key scripture for this is found in Paul’s prayer to the Ephesians.

Ephesians 3:16-20

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

As we are rooted and grounded in God’s love for us and we come to know the love that Christ has for us, it then passes revelation knowledge to us that in turn will cause us to be filled with all the fullness of God.

Knowing Gods love for us will cause us to become filled with all the fullness of God.

Now love is once again defined in 1 John 4:10

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

As we understand that love does not come by us first loving God but us knowing and believing the love that God has for us. Again John confirms where Gods love begins and is made perfect.

I John 4:16-19

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Our Love is perfected as we continue to believe the love that God has for us. As we  are perfect in God’s love then  this perfected love will cast out all fear.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

And once again for the third time John defines Gods love and how we are even to have the ability to love…We love because He first loved us

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Peter boasted in his love for Christ and denied him three times. John boasted of God’s love for him and he was one of the most stable and most fruitful    of all the disciples.

As we receive Gods great love for us then it will produce the fruit of love in our hearts that will in turn extend out to others to the glory God. John who was once known as one of the sons of thunder or judgment was transformed into John the apostle of Love because he was awakened to the great love that God had for him.

So as we when we sing songs like.. I will sing of His love for ever or Amazing love or one of the latest and greatest recently written songs, O how He loves us! It does something inside of us!  Singing about Gods great love for us ignites the Spirit of love in our spirits and then causes us to be filled with love and the fullness of God.

A key to being filled and staying filled with the Spirit is to always behold Gods love for you. It is not to behold your flaws or your failures or your short comings but it’s to behold Gods love for you.. The bible does not say for God was so mad at us that He sent His only son to die for us. No! It says for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.

What the world needs now is love sweet love! That is the world needs to know is the love that God has for them. We need to get it right it’s not sinners in the hands of an angry God, No!, Its sinners in the hands of a loving God who provided a way out through His Son Jesus to save us from our sins.

When Christ came who was he angry with? Well it was not the sinner; it was religion and sin that kept people away from Gods great love but God loves people. His desire is that no one should perish bu all come to repentance.

Everywhere Christ went He preached the good news and touched people with His love and as they were touched and believed the good news they were changed! We will continue to be filled, blessed and touched as we continue to believe and trust that God is for us and not against us
